Green Bay’s Best Coffee Shops

Each with a buzzing coffee scene, there are a number of local options in Green Bay that offer great coffee, some local flair, and the perfect vibe. Churning out great coffee, teas, and other specialty drinks, these coffee shops—in no particular order—are all places I have personally been to, love going to, and love going back to. There are many other options in Green Bay, including national chains, but these are the ones that I find have the best overall vibe, best service, and the best drinks to earn a spot on this list of Green Bay’s best coffee shops.

1.     The Attic

A cute shop near downtown Green Bay, it is a coffee and used bookstore! There are always people enjoying their time, nestled in nooks and corners reading, playing card games, and drinking coffee. The Attic has a great tea selection, which is my favorite thing to order off the menu. They also have some delicous baked goods, and all their coffees are Fair Trade, Organic.

2.     Copper Rock

Copper Rock is multifaceted in their brewing skills: brewing coffee and brewing their own beer. The shop came to the Green Bay area in 2017, taking over the old Hinterland Brewery building, and the owners did a remodel of the building when they first came to Green Bay. They roast their own beans out of their Appleton location on College Ave, which is where they initially started. The space is charming and well done.  Copper Rock even has beer and food to select from. They have a number of coffee brews and tea options to choose from, such as Rishi, and is open until 10:00 at night serving dinner.

3.     The Creamery

While The Creamery is not a straight up coffee shop, they are a great lunch spot, and have the best breakfasts in Green Bay. Their chai is also out of this world, which I think is one of the best in the area, and why I just had to include them on this best coffee shops list. They make their chai from scratch, and all their food is delicious! They are located in downtown Green Bay right on the river and The CityDeck boardwalk.

4.     Daily Buzz

Right in the corner of the historic Bellin Building in downtown Green Bay, Daily Buzz is a small, great spot to pop in for a quick refresh right on the east side of the river. They always have interesting and different drink options on their menu. They also serve a variety of food and teas. You can contact them with any questions and even for their catering options here.

5. Kavarna

Located downtown Green Bay, Kavarna is a staple in the Green Bay coffee scene. Located right on Broadway Street, it is great meeting place, also has fantastic food options and even vegetarian options! Their baked goods are amazing! Kavarna’s chocolate chunk cookies are out of this world, and I almost always have to get one every time I go. My favorite drinks are chai latte with oat milk, and any of their loose-leaf teas that they bring in—they are incredibly delicious. They serve blended coffees that are sourced and roasted in Milwaukee, by Anodyne Coffee

6. Luna

Another great coffee option, Luna roasts their very own beans. They have two locations in Green Bay after just expanding earlier in 2019. Their coffee is dynamite! Hinterland Brewery even uses their coffee in one of their core stouts that they brew throughout the year. Luna has food too that is great. Being a tea drinker, I love their extensive loose-leaf tea menu as well. I judge a lot of coffee shops on their chai, whether or not they use real spices or concentrate, or if the espresso is burned, but Luna is top notch every time I’ve been there and their chai is excellent.

Honorable mentions:

There are two places in Green Bay that have brewed beverages I constantly crave, but they aren’t served at coffee shops persay. First, the homemade chai from The Creamery is thick, not too sweet, and oh so creamy. The Creamery is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Green Bay, but even if I stop there for lunch, you can bet that I’m going to get one of their chai lattes to-go!

The second honorable mention goes to the London Fog at Toast and Co. I’m not sure what voodoo magic they put into this tea latte, but it delights my soul every time I get it. Every year on my birthday, my mom takes me to Toast and Co. for breakfast, so of course there will be a London Fog at my place to sip in celebration!

These coffee shops are ones I love to frequent and they never disappoint! I’d love to know what your favorite local coffee shops are. Share with me where you like to go and what your favorite drink is. Contact me here with what you recommend!

XOXO,

Kate
